Peterhead, in the far north-east of Scotland, is a busy fishing port yet offers fascinating tourism attractions including the Peterhead Prison Museum. Along the coast is the dramatic cliff edge ruin of Slains Castle. It’s here that Bram Stoker is said to have been inspired to create the story of Dracula. North of the town is Peterhead Golf Course, a links course, that borders the sandy beach and dunes that follow the coastline for several miles.
