Glasgow – Holidays and City Breaks

Glasgow has got everything you could want for a city break, excellent shopping with the latest designs in boutique shops, large retail stores for everything from clothing to electronic gadgets, the latest styles and tends, cafés and restaurants. Your nightlife can be filled with music, traditional pubs, cinema and dancing. If you enjoy taking risks Glasgow also has casinos where you can try your hand at blackjack, roulette and other games of chance.

With Glasgow’s rich cultural background there is much to do and see during the day, from museums, art galleries, parks and the botanic gardens with an international collection of tropical plants and the outstanding architecture of the Kibble Palace. The architecture of the city is cherished and George Square in the city centre is surrounded by buildings with a history, the riverside walks and science museums will also enrich your view of this diverse city. The city has been used for film sets, you may recognise the buildings and streets from some of these film scenes (don’t worry we do not have zombies, except when they are being paid as extras).

When visiting Glasgow you should experience the diverse cultural food that is available, the city has some of the best curry houses in Britain, it is well worth visiting Glasgow just to taste the amazing curries on offer. Traditional Scottish meals are available of course and taste delicious as well.

While Glasgow is Scotland’s largest city it is just a short distance from outstanding natural scenery with Loch Lomond coming to mind, and down the Clyde seaside towns and villages that have a distinctive atmosphere unique to Scotland. Glasgow is a city that will entice you back, its people are warm and welcoming making you feel at home.
