Dundee, a Vibrant City of Discovery & Gateway to Angus
The City of Dundee is one of Scotland's largest cities and borders the north bank of the Firth of Tay. Looking over the Tay Road Bridge from Dundee you see Newport-on-Tay, a small coastal Town in the Kingdom of Fife. With plenty to do and see Dundee it is an interesting place to visit, nearby are towns and villages, beautiful rural countryside, world class golf courses and sandy beaches just a short drive along the coast. Dundee has castles, museums and shopping, plus numerous restaurants and traditional pubs, many of the pubs also offer pub grub.
There are two historic ships that can be seen at Dundee, the RRS Discovery, Robert Falcon Scott's Antarctic exploration vessel, berthed at Discovery Point, and the 200 year old HMS Unicorn. HMS Unicorn is berthed in Dundee’s Victoria Dock, next to the Tay Road Bridge. Both are easy walking distances from the city centre.
Dundee has been awarded UNESCO City of Design status for its contributions to medical research, comics and video games. The city's waterfront is undergoing a £1bn regeneration project, including the V&A Dundee museum of design that is being opened in September 2018. The city has several parks with Camperdown Country Park being the largest at 400 acres. Within the park is Camperdown golf course, a very attractive parkland course with mature trees.
Along the coast you will find Broughty Ferry with its cafés, sandy beach and castle, next to a small harbour. It is a lovely location to spend time with family and there is a small park area with children’s play area.

Salmon fishing is available on a 5-mile stretch of the River Prosen, and there are twenty golf courses within an hours' drive. Six characterful holiday cottages available.
