Poolewe
Poolewe is a small community on the west coast of the Highlands, it is north of Gairloch. The location is well known for hill walking and for the National Trust Gardens - Inverewe. The gardens were created by Osgood Mackenzie when he bought the Inverewe and Kernsay Esate, the Inverewe gardens was landscaped on barren land - peat bog overlooking Loch Ewe. The gardens are now world famous and a tribute to Osgood Mackenzie and all the gardeners that helped transform wilderness into paradise.

The Inverewe gardens are now managed by the National Trust for Scotland. Inverewe gardens has a restaurant and gift shop, plants are also for sale.
