Falkland Palace is a marvelous historic building owned by the National Trust for Scotland. The gardens at Falkland Palace are wonderful and you will enjoy walking through the plantings of trees, shrubs and herbaceous plants. You can also buy a good range of plants from the National Trust shop and plant centre.

A picture is worth a thousand words and I hope you enjoy the photos of Falkland Palace and the gardens shown below.
The Palace is open during the spring to autumn and it is best if you purchase a National Trust "friends" ticket as this allows you entry into all the properties and gardens of the National Trust for Scotland. The gardens on Falkland Palace are well worth visiting on their own. The Trust has a shop and plant centre where you will find a lot of Scottish gifts and books on Scotland.

The garden has a lot of hidden spaces where that will delight the enthusiast gardener. Even if you are not a passionate gardener you will love the smell of the scented flowers and the contrasting colours of vegetation and flowers. I especially enjoyed seeing the yellow and red contrasts. The garden also has many birds that you can enjoy seeing.

The plant centre at Falkland Palace has many of the plants you will find growing in the gardens. By buying in from the National Trust you are helping support them in their very important task of looking after our Scottish heritage and keeping it open for all to visit and enjoy.
