Low Glengyre Farm Caravan and Camping Site

Low Glengyre Farm Camp Site

Scotland Camping in Dumfries and Galloway

Welcome to Low Glengyre Farm CL where the tranquility of the Southern Uplands will meet you on arrival. Sit in your caravan, viewing the hills overlooking Loch Ryan and feel your holiday has just begun. Located on a family-run dairy farm only 7 miles from Stranraer gives this CL easy access to the Northern Irish Ferry Routes.

We have set up the CL to provide all your home comforts - laundry facilities, heated shower room, toliets, hot & cold water, handwashing facilities at waste disposal area & handstanding pitches. As caravanners ourselves, we know what is needed to make your stay the best that it can be.

Please remember that we are a newly established CL and as a result will be unable to allow grass awnings until the grass is properly established.

Site Charges

£10 per night, £65 per week

Small extra charge for use of washing machine, shower or extra vehicle.

Attractions

The local area attractions are mainly focused on nature and the countryside. Whether your interest is gardening, walking, golfing, fishing or simply enjoying the scenery around you, your needs will be met here.

The area has some exceptional sub-tropical gardens - Logan Botanic Gardens, Castle Kennedy Gardens, Ardwell Gardens, Glenwhan Gardens & Dunskey Gardens. In addition, there are some beautiful sandy beaches in the area for the children ....and the young at heart.

More traditional tourist attractions include Port Logan Fish Pond - Marine Life Centre, Creetown Gem Rock Museum, Bladnoch Distillery, Mull of Galloway Lighthouse, Glenluce Abbey & Monreith Animal World. Of course, you are also only a 'hop, skip & a jump' from Northern Ireland and the ferry companies offer some excellent day trips to Ireland.

The main problem with this part of Scotland is that once you stay here, you won't want to go home!

Directions

Follow the A718 out of Stranraer heading for Leswalt/Kirkcolm. At the roundabout, go straight ahead (for Leswalt). In the village, turn right past the school (Ervie Road - B798).

The CL is located approximately 2.25 miles along this road on the left hand side.

We look forward to seeing you.
