Dunkeld
Dunkeld in Perthshire is one of the most attractive towns in Scotland and is well known for salmon fishing on the River Tay. You will often drive through Birnham and cross over the bridge to Dunkeld when travelling from the A9 Perth road. Dunkeld is also well known for Scottish music nights, hotels and local restaurants. You can eat outside overlooking the River Tay or inside to the sounds of Scottish music. On warm sunny days we prefer sitting outside with our dogs enjoying the fantastic scenery.
We have taken a few pictures of what you can expect on your visit to Dunkeld, and don't forget to visit Dunkeld Cathedral as it is fascinating and the stain glass windows inside the church are beautiful on a sunny day with the light streaming through the window into the church. The older area of the cathedral is just perfect for anyone interested in Scottish heritage and it is a Historic Scotland site, it does cost much to enter, we would encourage you to join and become a member of Historic Scotland and visit Scotland's other historical monuments and buildings.
