Achavanich Standing Stones

Achavanich Standing Stones are over 4000 years old and is a short distance off the A9 after Latheron on the road to Thurso. This is well worth a visit and it is fascinating to see ancient standing stones, brochs and burial mounds. You can also walk around Loch Stemster over the moor on the estate track, vehicle access is not allowed unless you are registered disabled, however most vehicles would find it difficult. Many other walks nearby.
