The iconic Urquhart Castle overlooking Loch Ness
Book a fantastic holiday afloat in the Scottish Highlands and you will be able to see most of the Caledonian Canal and the Scottish Lochs along the Great Glen between Inverness and Fort William.
A weeks holiday will not give you time to explore the west coast areas around Fort William, including Ben Nevis or slightly further afield with a train journey to Mallaig (during summer months). At the other side of Scotland, Inverness has many shops to see and is a vibrant city where there is plenty to see and do, including a wide range of restaurants.
You will also be able to cruise past the lovely Urquhart Castle which is owned by Historic Environment Scotland and you are able to visit this interesting historic castle while on holiday. The castle has a restaurant and cafe as well as a book and gift shop.
If you do not want to hire your own boat to explore Loch Ness then trips on the Loch are available which also stop off at Urquhart Castle and allow you to visit this historic site.
Check out the available routes and lochs on our Google Map of Loch Ness and the Great Glen.
