Ardvreck Castle in the Scottish Highlands

Ardvreck Castle stands on a rocky promontory jutting out into Loch Assynt in Sutherland.

Ardvreck Castle is a ruined castle dating from the 16th century and can be reached by driving along the A837 towards Lochinver along the hauntingly beautiful Loch Assynt. The castle and the nearby house are believed to be haunted and there has been a number of ghost sightings.
