The Step Diet Extraordinnaire October 17, 2006 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
My husband and I are not the dieting type of people. We have always eaten healthily, but what we weren't getting was exercise. After my angiogram, I attended cardio therapy classes and learned how walking is very good for you. With the book and the step counter, my husband and I not only began to lose weight without dieting, but we felt so much better. I now walk 4-5 miles a day and my husband is managing to get in two miles a day after work and more on weekends. I highly recommend this book to all those who are burned out with failed diets. All you have to do is cut back on the amount of food you eat as you walk more. Walk and lose, terrific!
Easiest "DIET" book out there October 18, 2004 17 out of 17 found this review helpful
Brilliant "Diet" book - so easy to follow that you don't even have to give up very much what you normally eat unlike all these other diet books out there ( there was no way I was going to eat all that low fat food ) .Then there's the easy part of counting your daily steps using a pedometer - I've been tracking myself for a month now & have greatly improved my daily step total - feeling far fitter & healthier than I've ever been .I've lost 6 kilos (now I'm 48kgs at 5 feet height in my late 30's )using the information in this book plus exercising for 30 minutes extra 4 days a week with "Walk Away The Pounds" DVD by Leslie Sansone ( highly recommended for people who don't want to strain themselves too much exercising ). This book even gave the clues as to how over the years I was slowly accumulating the extra kilos through little exercise & a little extra sweets eaten frequently . The only drawback is the free pedometer that comes with the book - throw it away & buy a better one .
