Customer Reviews:

4 out of 5 stars An entertaining police procedural   July 5, 2008

The character D I Marjory Fleming is professional, human and competent. Aline Templeton handles the police procedural with intelligence and imagination. I enjoyed the story as much as the setting as much as the characters.

5 out of 5 stars Lying Dead - Great detective fiction   January 30, 2008

An excellent story, with really genuine characters. It is great to know that we are still only at the start of a, hopefully, long series. Bring on the next Big Marge novel!

3 out of 5 stars Pleasurable   July 26, 2007

This is the third in the DI Marjory Fleming series, which is improving as the characters build. The plot has a number of twists to leave you guessing. The focus upon Fleming's home and work pressures bring realism to the character but I feel that overall it would be of benefit if other main characters were more developed. I didn't find this to be an electrifying read but it's a good read and I will try the next one in the series.
