5 out of 5 stars Superb Book   May 21, 2008

Brilliant collection of information.
The only thing missing was the kitchen sink.
If you're thinking of doing the TMB then this has got to be the first point of call for information.

5 out of 5 stars Quite Excellent!   February 4, 2008

This appears to be a superb guide to the Tour and provides enough guidance to get around almost without a map. Very clear and logically constructed. I also checked out Cicerone's own website entry for this book. There's some useful additional information there including a link to a rather useful site www.walkingthetmb.com which fills in with pictures some of the items the guide covers in a more generalised manner - stuff like what it's actually like to stay in a refuge and a comprehensive refuge list and way points. It's enough to make me confident that the Tour du Mont Blanc can be my first attempt at a self organised Alpine trek in 2008! France, Italy, Switzerland here I come!
